Polar Automotive was founded in 1987 as a specialist supplier of snow chains, we have since added further automotive and continental driving accessories to our product range.
We have recently relocated to larger premises in Tonbridge where more space allowed for a larger showroom to display not only snow chains but roof boxes, roof bars, cycle carriers and other automotive load-carriers and accessories. As a Thule Partner we stock a wide range of Thule products and anything not in stock can be ordered-in, even at short notice.
Polar Automotive specialises in the supply of snow chains to both the retail and wholesale market, and is now the largest importer of snow chains into the UK. The company prides itself on being able to offer its customers high levels of expertise and a huge range of chains to fit all types of vehicles - from the smallest passenger car to the largest tractors. Good service is of paramount importance within the company and our staff are able to offer advice over the phone or at our showroom in Tonbridge, where we also carry-out vehicle clearance checks and fitting demonstrations.

- Polar 9mm for passenger cars (hatchbacks and lighter saloons and estates)
- Polar 7mm for light passenger cars (with limited clearance)
- Polar 16mm for SUVs, 4x4 vehicles, light commercial and camper vans
- Polar Commercial range for large commercial vehicles or coaches
The company has also developed its own Fit and Go Sox - a textile traction product that is becoming increasingly popular (see snow chains vs. snow socks). These products have been developed over recent years to create a fantastic range of budget snow chains and winter driving accessories.
Polar are a UK stockist of Konig snow chains (previously Thule), and exclusive importers of the Konig 'Zip' ranges of chains (Zip 9, Zip Ultra, and Zip Transport).
